About us

Who we are

Welcome to the East Energy Group – pioneers of innovative, sustainable energy projects.

At a time when renewable energy sources are becoming increasingly important, we are the pioneers who not only forge ideas but also determinedly put them into practice.

Our mission: the production of green electricity, green hydrogen and e-methanol! With our work, we want to shape green future technologies that create valuable opportunities for communities, companies and the environment.

After we successfully discovered and secured suitable sites and developed them until they reached construction maturity, it gets exciting: the construction of our innovative energy technologies begins.

We construct and operate photovoltaic and wind energy plants on these sites under the East Energy brand. The electricity generated there can be used locally and creates many structural and societal benefits for local communities.

But that’s not all! Our electricity is ambitious and additionally supplies our Power-to-X technologies. Under the Sun2Gas brand, we plan, build and operate electrolysers and methanol plants that produce green hydrogen on-site and e-methanol with the help of CO2 recovery.

What’s the point of all this?

Among other things, green methanol serves as an alternative fuel for shipping. As there is currently not enough green methanol to meet global demand, our work plays a crucial role in achieving climate neutrality in maritime mobility. Another upside: the green heat that is generated as a byproduct during electrolysis can be fed into municipal or industrial local and district heating networks.

This way, our projects combine the sectors electricity, heat and mobility into an integrated cycle, making an important contribution to sector coupling!

May we introduce: Our podcast “Die Energiewandler”

Welcome to the podcast “Die Energiewandler – the podcast for green solutions.”

With our Chief of Business Development and new podcast presenter Michael Dahlmann as host, we will guide you through exciting conversations about sustainable energy projects.
In this medium, we want to take the time that is normally lacking and explain what we actually do, the technology behind it and why our projects make an important contribution to the energy transition.

To explain and categorise the complex processes surrounding renewable energies, Michael talks to experts and exciting guests. Together, we want to break down topics that not only describe our corporate concept, but also represent one of the greatest challenges of our time: curbing global warming and thus saving our planet.

The podcast will be available every month from March 2024 wherever podcasts are available or directly here on our website.

Our Team

Our team reflects a colourful range of talents, backgrounds and life paths. We are a harmonious and motivated group with different skills and backgrounds, but a common desire: to make an active contribution to combating climate change, not only in our private lives, but also professionally.

This shared mission gives our collaboration a special strength. Day after day, we pull together with motivation, driven by the responsibility we feel for our environment and society. Together, we want to drive the energy transition forward and bring about positive change.

Respect for our environment and our society runs through everything we do. We understand that every decision and every project we tackle has an impact on our world. That’s why we put precision and passion into everything we do. In a changing climate and an evolving world, we are proud to be part of a team that is actively shaping change.

Welcome to the team where passion meets diversity and a sustainable future is shaped collectively.

What drives us

We not only want to offer good jobs for our employees, but also set the stage for groundbreaking change. Our declared aim is to drive forward the energy transition and thus counteract climate change. By focussing on renewable energy sources, we are expanding the range of alternatives to fossil fuels and thus making a significant contribution to reducing the ecological footprint, both locally and globally.

Our mission also includes securing the local energy supply. Our advanced technologies help to generate and provide cost-effective and CO2-neutral electricity at a local level. This not only serves to reduce dependence on external fossil fuel imports, but also decouples energy prices from volatile developments on the global market.

Another key concern is the creation of added value locally. Here, we pursue an approach that aims to strengthen the local economy, particularly in rural areas. By implementing innovative green technologies, we are revitalising regions that are characterised by agriculture without compromising their natural character. Instead of exporting generated electricity, we use it directly on-site. Local landowners benefit by purchasing or leasing land, while new infrastructure creates well-paid jobs and generates additional business tax revenue.

The participation of the local population is crucial to ensure the actual creation of value. Transparency and acceptance are the cornerstones of our approach. With this in mind, we are actively committed to involving the local community in our projects and, where appropriate, involving them financially.

Our understanding of sustainability

In a world where sustainability is often a challenge, we try to ensure that we do our very best every day.

Our destinctive mark: The core of our work is ecologically valuable per se, always in harmony with the climate, biodiversity and agriculture. With our green technology of the future, we are steaming greenhouse gas emissions and conjuring up a completely green cycle.

But our pursuit of sustainability does not stop here, we have even more in store:

We are also battling the climate crisis internally and are trying to do our bit. Even small gestures can have a big impact. For example, we make sure we buy vegan, fair-trade products, scour the internet in an environmentally friendly way and reduce digital data waste. Green mobility? That too: where possible, we cycle, use public transport and hybrid cars. We have committed ourselves to optimizing our internal processes step by step in the direction of sustainability. We are driven by an African proverb:

“If in many small places many small people do many small things, the face of our earth will change.”
